Horrod’s were surprised and delighted to win ‘Outstanding Contribution award’ at
the annual MAC Lunch, 1st of October in London.
It has often felt like a lonely place, asserting that safety, and quality is essential for
the equipment and the user on site to prevent injury, or accidental fires.
The late and much respected Terry Horrod (1940-2009) often said that you
‘get what you pay for’. And despite the cheaper equipment often making it a tough
business to compete in, Horrods stuck to leading by example, making the best
equipment in the business.

Asphalt Industry which was awarded to W J Horrod Ltd. From its beginnings in 1948 as a repair
service, Horrods is a family owned business in London which has grown to become a market
leader in the manufacture of mastic asphalt equipment.
Well known across the mastic asphalt sector, W J Horrod has the respect of the whole industry
– whether it be manufacturers, contractors, MAC or New City College Hackney. All have been
involved with W J Horrod over the years and the company has built up an enviable reputation
of reliability.’
