Established in 1948, and becoming a limited company in 1950, WJ Horrod Ltd is a family business that holds true to the ethical and honourable traditions of manufacturing equipment designed for industries dealing with roofing, flooring, highways and joining. Our target industry can be a dangerous place for the workforce, and thus we have always endeavoured to treat all the equipment we design to provide safety to the user and to the work environment.

Terry Horrod has led the company for over thirty-five years, designing and implementing company policy, as well as driving the design and manufacturing imperatives of the products. His main ethos is to produce equipment that provides safety, efficiency and durability - a company motto we have maintained and been guided to.
Eldest daughter, Kim Horrod has been with the company since she left school. Learning the basics of administering a company, to the position as completely overseeing the entire operational imperatives, Kim has shown a dedication to the family business that has ensured we continue to endure.
Terry Jnr is another lifelong employee, learning the trade of his father, and excelling in design and manufacture, being at the top of his game in all aspects of design and manufacture, making him able to perform in the factory, and be equally at home in the designing process.
Donovan Watt joined Horrods from Aeromatic Barters; he has a vast experience in designing, testing and commissioning gas burner equipment for use on mobile or static appliances.
