Manly Company is a company with a rich history in ironwork across the nation’s roads. Alan Lee is second generation and has spent his life maintaining and understanding the makeup of our roads and the essential ironwork that allows drainage, water access and other infrastructure amenities that weave below the surfaces of our roads and highways.
In all the years he has been fulfilling contracts, Alan has never come across a system he believes is as sustainable and vital in keeping ironwork maintained as that of Pacopatch, designed by Pure Asphalt the system provides the most viable and efficient method of reinstating ironwork, and in being so incredibly resilient and bonded – the system affords a guarantee that has never been produced before.
Manly Company Ltd has been central to the products success and it is only just the beginning of a long partnership. Alan Lee maintains that he has never used equipment as highly effective and well constructed as that provided by WJ Horrod, in conjunction with Pure Asphalt and believes the two are a perfect blend that will allow his company to produce the results on the nation’s highways that are not only second to none, but also greener and far more eco-friendly than current methods.
Alan Lee has proven the system and will soon be working with FM Conway on projects in London. Alan, has often been accompanied by Pure Asphalt’s Steve Shaw, who documents the process on still and motion photography. Despite the system being a far more economically viable alternative to the current practises, utility companies responsible for the maintenance of the ironwork are yet to specify it as a standard.
Steve Shaw is tireless in his efforts to bring this system to the attention of companies who specify and tender the contracts. traversing the country, speaking to utilities companies and even writing to the new Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who is often quoted in the press to be an advocate of efficiency and eco-friendly alternatives to alleviate the busy streets of the capital with greener solutions - watch this space!
